Media Gateway Control Protocol
Media Gateway Control Protocol in which Call Agents issue CRCX/MDCX/DLCX and signal requests to subordinate media gateways. SDP in the text messages describes RTP endpoints. Softswitches used it widely before SIP trunks absorbed many edge functions.
